Metallica has just released a remastered version of hero of the day. The new version of the track is included in the band’s Load (Remastered) reissue. The record was remastered by Latin Grammy-award winner Reuben Cohen. The new music video for hero of the day was directed by Anton Corbijn. The video follows a drug-addled youth as he watches television. Every program he watches features some aspect of Metallica. The video includes a Western movie starring Kirk Hammett and Jason Newsted, a boxing match with Hetfield as the coach, and a game show where Hetfield and Lars Ulrich are contestants.
The remastered hero of the day is available today on digital outlets and can be streamed here. The reissue of the 1996 album includes 301 tracks including demos, alternate takes, outtakes, B-sides, rarities and rehearsal audio.
