Community hero is an individual who helps make a positive impact in their neighborhood. These individuals can be first responders, teachers, grocery store employees, restaurant servers, bus drivers, garbage and recycling collectors, fire and police officers or anyone else who works to lift up their neighbors. They are often not recognized for their efforts or celebrated for their heroic deeds, but they are the backbone of their neighborhoods and the shared heartbeat that thrives on connection, resilience and the joy of giving.

He believes that everyone should have a chance to live their dreams and pursue their goals, regardless of what they look like or where they come from.
He’s been called a “soulful soldier” for his work to empower children with disabilities and help them feel included and valued. A former drug user himself, he is now dedicated to educating young people about the dangers of drugs. He’s been a true hero to his community and is one of our 2025 Real Community Heroes.
